In winning the event again meant that the 18-year-old had reached his second Grand final in three years, having previously qualified for the 2009 Final in Brazil.
Smith of the Bowood Golf Club completed rounds of 72 and 71 for a winning one over par total of 143.
He was three behind Matt Kippen (Enmore) going into the final round, but quickly found himself level with two birdies in his first five holes as against a bogey by Kippen. taylormade burner superfast 2.0
When he stepped onto the eighteenth tee it was with the knowledge that a posting a par would be enough to book him his place in the final and he did just that, hitting his approach to within twelve feet before two putting for victory.
"I holed a lot of par putts from 10-12 feet to keep my momentum going," said a delighted Smith when asked what he though was the key was to a victory that qualifies him for the 15th Faldo Series Europe Grand Final, hosted by six-time Major Champion Nick Faldo at Lough Erne Resort in Northern Ireland on September 12-14.
